JIREH INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

​Jireh Microfinance Ltd has given the opportunity to ten (10) students from some of the tertiary institutions in the country to undertake internship program with the company from June to August 2017. The interns are from the University of Ghana, University of Professional Studies, Accra Technical University, Koforidua Technical University and Kumasi Technical University.

The opportunity is to enable the students to have a practical feel of their classroom studies. In welcoming the students to the company to officially start the program, the Managing Director of the company Mrs. Akorfa Ahiafor admonished them to be of good behaviour and imbibe the values of the company and serve as worthy ambassadors in their dealings with customers of the company.

The students were taken through one week of intensive orientation program with a focus on work ethics and culture of the company as well as its products and services. The students expressed their excitement for the opportunity to work with the Jireh brand as interns.

​The send-off party of this year’s internship program coincided with the 3-year anniversary celebration of the company. In proposing a toast for the occasion, Ms. Bridgette Sitsope Agbeve who has over the years been doing her internship with the company wished it a bright future and to all members of staff, more rewarding years. At the end of the program, the interns also expressed their willingness to return to the company for the same program in the future.

As part of its corporate social responsibility in the area of education, the company also supported this year’s Change Africa Summit which aimed at empowering young graduates with business skills to prepare them for entrepreneurial ventures.

Jireh Microfinance Ltd was incorporated in February 2014 to operate as a Tier II Microfinance Company (Specialised Deposit-Taking) under the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Act,2008 (Act 774). The company was established by a team of highly skilled professionals with an in-depth wealth of experience in the world of Business. Currently, the company has three (3) branches located in Madina, Benab House (Atomic Junction), Nima-Accra and Mampong in the Akwapim North District of the Eastern Region.
