JIREH MD HONOURED AT CHANGE AFRICA SUMMIT

The Managing Director of Jireh Microfinance Ltd Mrs Akorfa Ahiafor was awarded at this year’s Change Africa Summit held in Accra. The Change Africa Summit is a platform created by the Dream Insight Foundation (DIF Africa); a non-governmental organization which aims at bridging the gap between students’ lives in the lecture hall and the corporate world. It seeks to use the foundation to raise young business leaders.

The theme for the summit wasArchetype Change from Job-seeking to Job-creation. The summit aims at empowering the youth in Africa to be entrepreneurially driven as they position themselves to meet future economic changes.





The keynote speakers at the summit included Dr Osei Kusi, the Executive President of the Osei Kusi Foundation, Ms Karene Beecham, the Chief Executive Officer of GOgreenegoclean and Inofed Logistics USA, Mr Alfred Okansey a broadcast journalist with Media General Ghana Ltd (TV3) and Mr Wilson D. Agyeman who is the Executive President of DIF -International.

Mrs Akorfa Ahiafor delivered a speech on how to build financial capacity to be financially independent as a youth. She used the platform to encourage the participants who are mainly students from the tertiary institutions in the country to cultivate the habit of savings as a means of raising capital to start their dream businesses. In recognition of her relentless and dedicated efforts towards the vision of raising more student entrepreneurs, Mrs Ahiafor was awarded by the organisers of the annual summit.
